MITHAQ Online Services Ltd., company no. 517351250, operates a dating service for adults aged 18 and over. We want people to get to know one another respectfully and choose whether and with whom to continue contact. This policy covers use of the app and website and conduct connected with an introduction made through them. It supplements our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Prohibited conduct
Sexual harassment, coercion, threats and retaliation against another user are prohibited. This includes:
- sending unwanted sexual messages, images or propositions, or continuing contact after being asked to stop or after being blocked;
- pressuring someone for a phone number, intimate images, personal information, money, a meeting or sexual activity;
- threatening, blackmailing, impersonating, stalking, sharing private conversations or images without permission, or threatening to share them;
- degrading someone because of sex, gender or sexual orientation, or retaliating against a person who reports a concern in good faith.
Conduct may breach our service rules even if no legal finding has been made that it is a crime. The rules also apply where contact began on MITHAQ and the conduct continued elsewhere, to the extent we can assess a report and take action within the service.
Reporting and blocking
You can report a user or concerning conduct using the Report option on a profile or an available safety route in the app. You can also email support@mithaq-connect.com and identify the message as a safety concern. If you want to stop unwanted contact, you can block a user in the app.
Please include the relevant profile, a short description and the approximate time of the incident. Share only what is needed for review; do not send passwords, verification codes or full payment card numbers. If the concern involves sexual material relating to a minor, do not attach, store or distribute that material. Provide identifying details and a description only, in line with section 9.1 of our Terms of Use.
If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services. MITHAQ reporting channels are not emergency services. Reporting to us does not prevent you from contacting the authorities or seeking other support.
How we handle reports
We assess reports according to their content and urgency. Using the tools available to us, we may review relevant information, ask for more details, remove content, restrict features, suspend or block an account, and contact authorities where required or permitted by law. The response depends on the seriousness of the issue and the information available. We cannot guarantee a particular outcome in advance, disclose another person's private information or prevent every action outside the service.
Reports and information needed to address them are handled under our Privacy Policy, with access limited to authorised personnel. We seek to limit disclosure of the reporting person's identity to the other party where possible, although the circumstances of a review or a legal obligation may limit this. Knowingly false reports may lead to action under our Terms of Use. A good faith report will not be penalised solely because a violation could not be established.
Minors and child sexual exploitation
The service is for adults only. Child sexual exploitation and material depicting sexual abuse of minors are strictly prohibited. Our specific reporting and response standards appear in section 9.1 of the Terms of Use. Do not send such prohibited material as an attachment.
