Last updated: 25 October 2026 | Version 8.5
Effective date: for new users, from publication; for existing users, 7 days after notice in the app, or from accepting the Terms in the app, whichever is earlier.
What changed in version 8.5: section 5.2 now covers website purchases through Tranzila, payment methods, VAT-inclusive prices and a link to cancellation/refund information.
What changed in version 8.4: section 5.1 now states explicitly that credits purchased on the website, not only in the app, do not expire merely because time has passed.
What changed in version 8.3: section 5.1 now describes credit use by type of action (unlocking a profile requires a credit; receiving suggestions, granting approval, blocking and reporting do not) and requires promotion terms to be published in advance.
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to MITHAQ, a digital service operated by MITHAQ Online Services Ltd., Co. No. 517351250 (the “Company”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the application, website, landing pages, payment services, matching services and any other service operating under the MITHAQ brand (together: the “Service”).
Use of the Service is subject to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the cancellation policy and the Community Guidelines. Opening an account, purchasing or using a feature after the relevant terms have been displayed and accepted expresses agreement to the terms applying to that action. Acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for personal data processing, device permissions or marketing, and acceptance of a particular notice is not blanket consent to all future processing or charges.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register and do not use the Service.
The Company may update these Terms from time to time. A material change will be published in the application or sent to the contact details you provided. Continued use after the effective date of the update will be deemed acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| User | Any person who registers or uses the Service, including women and men. |
| Profile | A personal page containing information provided by the user, photos, preferences and answers to compatibility questions. |
| Match | A technological suggestion or mutual presentation of users based on filters, preferences or an algorithm. A match is not a promise of a relationship. |
| Contact request | An action by which a user requests to open a communication option, send an approach or start a conversation, according to the Service structure at that time. |
| Contact approval | An action by which a female or male user approves further communication or broader disclosure of details, according to the screens in the application. |
| Credit | A paid internal usage unit that enables certain actions in the application. A credit is not money or a financial asset and cannot be redeemed for cash. |
| Photo verification | An optional paid feature, if offered, intended to help reduce impersonation by checking a photo/selfie, but which does not guarantee full identity verification. |
| User content | Any text, photo, message, description, answer, report or file that a user uploads or sends through the Service. |
3. Eligibility, Registration and Verification
The Service may be used only by a person who meets all of the following conditions:
Age 18 or older.
Legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Providing true, complete and up-to-date information.
Only one account per person, unless the Company approved otherwise in writing.
No legal or contractual restriction on using the Service.
The user has not previously been removed or blocked from the Service due to breach of terms, unless the Company approved reopening the account in writing.
The Company may require phone verification, email verification, age verification, photo verification or additional verification, at its discretion and according to risk level. Refusal or failure to complete verification may lead to account limitation, profile removal or restriction of certain features.
The user represents that they do not use the Service for fraud, impersonation, harassment, extortion, data collection, commercial advertising, unlawful activity or harming other users.
4. Nature of the Service and Matching Model
MITHAQ is a technological platform for marriage-minded matchmaking, matching and communication between adult users. The Company is not a traditional matchmaking agency, is not a party to any relationship between users, and does not guarantee marriage, a relationship, a response, a meeting, a specific match or any result.
The Service model may include, among other things: a limited number of daily suggestions; partial or gradual display of profiles; blurred or limited photos until contact approval; the ability for women to choose whom to approve for further contact; purchase of credits for certain actions; and blocking contacts or other users.
The Company may change the Service structure, number of daily suggestions, feature types, exposure model, payment model, prices, benefits, limitations and algorithm from time to time, provided that no change derogates from mandatory consumer rights already created under law.
Presenting a user as a match is not a personal recommendation, professional compatibility assessment, confirmation of the user’s reliability or guarantee that the information provided is accurate.
5. Credits, Purchases, Payments and Refunds
5.1. Nature of Credits
Credits are a limited license to perform actions within the application only. Credits cannot be sold, transferred, assigned, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
A credit will be deducted only after a clear action approved by the user on the relevant screen, such as sending a request, opening a contact option, revealing a profile/photo, or another action displayed before it is performed.
Purchasing or using credits does not guarantee a response, approval, match, meeting or any result from another user.
Under the current Service model, credit use is determined by the type of action: unlocking a profile after you have been granted contact approval requires one credit; receiving suggestions, granting contact approval, blocking and reporting do not require credits. Any action that requires a credit, and its cost, will be shown on the relevant screen before it is performed. The Company may offer packages, benefits, promotions, free credits or actions at no charge, provided their terms, including duration, quantity limits and eligibility, are clearly presented in advance in the application or on the support page, and subject to law.
Credits purchased in the app or on the website do not expire merely because time has passed. Applicable law and the relevant store rules apply to each purchase channel. Limits on free promotional credits will be presented separately in advance and will not reduce rights relating to purchased credits.
5.2. Prices and Payment
Prices will be displayed before purchase, including VAT where applicable. Payment will be made through external payment providers or app stores. Full payment method details are not stored by the Company but by the payment provider according to its policy.
The binding price is the price displayed and approved at the time of purchase. The Company may update prices and packages prospectively, but will not apply a price change retroactively to a completed purchase, unless the change benefits the user or is permitted by law.
Website purchases are processed by Tranzila / Interspace Ltd. (אינטרספייס בע"מ) in its secure payment window (iFrame), by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay; Bit is not offered. MITHAQ does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. Its website-payment record contains only the order ID, amount, status and Tranzila transaction reference. VAT-inclusive prices are ₪59.90 for 1 credit, ₪149.90 for 3 credits and ₪199.90 for 5 credits. One credit unlocks one profile after the required approval has been granted. The price and final charge are shown before purchase confirmation; future price changes remain subject to the existing provisions of this section.
Cancellation of website purchases and refunds for unused credits are subject to law and the cancellation and refunds page. Section 5.3 and non-waivable statutory rights remain unaffected.
5.3. Cancellation and Refunds
The cancellation policy is subject to the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, its regulations and any other mandatory law. Nothing in these Terms derogates from any right that cannot be waived under law.
If the user is legally entitled to cancel a credit purchase, the user may receive a refund for unused credits, less cancellation fees where legally permitted. Where no cancellation or refund right exists under law or the relevant store rules, a credit used for an action will not be refunded merely because no response or match resulted. An incorrect charge or a fault that prevented delivery of the action will be reviewed and addressed, including a charge correction or refund where required.
For purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play, refund requests may be handled according to the relevant store policy and platform rules, in addition to applicable law.
If a user is a senior citizen, a new immigrant or a person with a disability, and the law grants them a special cancellation period for certain transactions, the Company will act according to law after receiving details and supporting documents to the extent it is permitted to request them.
Voluntary account deletion does not automatically cancel a transaction and does not entitle the user to a refund for used credits. Unused credits are subject to applicable law and this policy.
A cancellation or refund request may be sent to support@mithaq-connect.com, through cancellation tools displayed in the application or website and by any other means required by law. Provide your name, account phone number or email, purchase date, amount and order number or purchase receipt if available. Do not send a full card number, security code or login code. For app-store purchases, we will assist in identifying the relevant refund route without reducing the user’s legal rights against the Company.
6. Optional Paid Photo Verification
The Company may offer an optional paid photo verification service. Verification is intended to reduce impersonation and strengthen community trust, but it is not a background check, full identity verification, criminal check or a guarantee that the user has genuine intentions.
Collection of a selfie, facial data or biometric information for verification is conditional on disclosure of the provider, data processed, purposes, retention and deletion, and on obtaining required consent before collection, as described in the Privacy Policy. A safety concern does not authorize processing that is unlawful.
Photo verification is optional, unless the Company temporarily requires verification in cases of suspected breach, impersonation or safety risk.
If photo verification is offered for a fee, the price and terms will be displayed before payment. Payment for photo verification does not guarantee that verification will be approved. If verification fails due to an improper photo, mismatch or failure to meet instructions, the user may be asked to upload another photo.
If the verification service was not provided due to a technical failure by the Company or its provider, the Company will correct the failure, allow another attempt or refund the payment, according to the circumstances and law.
A verification badge, if displayed, only indicates that the user completed a certain verification process at a certain time. It is not a guarantee of safety, reliability, family status, intentions or full legal identity.
7. Rules of Use, Prohibited Conduct and Prohibited Content
The user undertakes to act respectfully, carefully and in good faith toward other users and the Company, within the application and outside it where the action relates to the Service.
It is prohibited to perform, publish, send or encourage:
Impersonation, fake profiles, use of another person's photos or providing false information.
Harassment, threats, extortion, unreasonable pressure, unwanted sexual conduct, verbal or physical violence.
Pornographic, nude, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive content that is inappropriate for the Service.
Racism, hatred, discrimination, or disparagement based on religion, origin, gender, family status or any personal characteristic.
Requests for money, loans, gifts, credit card details, investments, donations or favors from other users.
Commercial advertising, recruitment, promotion of pages, distribution of links or spam without the Company's approval.
Collection of user information, screenshots or external distribution of profiles and chats in violation of users’ privacy. This restriction does not prevent minimum documentation reasonably needed in good faith to report harm to the Company or a competent authority, or to exercise a legal right; it does not permit public distribution.
Use of bots, scraping, automation, AI or reverse engineering without written approval.
Uploading content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or any third-party right.
8. Privacy, Personal Data and Data
The use of personal data is governed by the Company’s Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. The Company may process account data, profile data, general location and temporary precise coordinates for locality selection, photos, chats, preferences, usage data, purchase data, support data, reports, blocks and technical data for operating the Service, matching, safety, fraud prevention, customer service, payments, research and service improvement.
Sensitive data, such as religion/religious lifestyle, family status, children, dating preferences and photo verification data, will be processed according to law, the Privacy Policy and user consents. The user may manage certain permissions and consents in the application settings or by contacting support@mithaq-connect.com.
The Company will not sell personal data to third parties. The Company may share data with external service providers required to operate the Service, such as hosting, SMS/OTP, payment processing, analytics, customer support, security and photo verification, subject to data processing agreements and law.
9. Safety, Reports, Blocks and Enforcement
Zero tolerance. MITHAQ has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users, as described in section 7 and Appendix B. Content that violates these Terms will be removed without delay once we become aware of it. A reported account will be temporarily suspended pending review of the report; the suspension is a precautionary measure and not a finding of a breach. Users found to have violated these Terms or the Community Guidelines may be permanently banned.
The Company aims to create a safe and respectful community, but cannot guarantee absolute safety or fully verify the identity, background, family status, intentions or reliability of every user.
Users may report profiles, messages or inappropriate conduct through reporting tools displayed in the application or to support@mithaq-connect.com. Support is not an emergency service; in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency authorities. The Company may review content and reports using automated tools and human review, and may prevent prohibited content from being posted, for example by automatically filtering offensive words in profiles. Enforcement may include a warning, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, a permanent block, removal of a verification badge or referral to competent authorities.
Malicious false reports or misuse of the reporting mechanism may lead to enforcement against the reporting user.
The Company is not required to provide a user with full details of action taken against another user if doing so could harm privacy, safety, an investigation or fraud prevention.
Users must exercise judgment and care in meetings and relationships outside the application. It is recommended to meet in a public place, inform a close person, avoid entering a stranger’s vehicle, avoid transferring money or financial details and stop contact when suspicion or discomfort arises. This does not reduce the Company’s responsibility under applicable law. The screenshot restriction is a rule of use, not a guarantee that copying or capturing content can always be technically prevented.
9.1. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
MITHAQ prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including grooming for sexual exploitation, sexual extortion, trafficking of children for sex and any content or conduct that sexually endangers a child. Creating, uploading, storing, requesting, sharing or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including images, videos or computer-generated material, is prohibited. These rules apply throughout the Service and to related conduct even though the Service is for adults only.
Suspected cases may be reported through in-app reporting tools or to support@mithaq-connect.com with the subject “Child safety”. Provide a user identifier, link or description enabling the incident to be located; do not attach, re-download or distribute prohibited sexual material involving minors. In immediate danger, contact emergency authorities.
When the Company becomes aware of such content or conduct in the Service, it will act to remove or disable access to the content, restrict the relevant account and address the report according to the circumstances and law. Information and evidence will be retained only to the necessary and legally permitted extent, with restricted access. The Company will comply with applicable child safety laws, including reporting to and cooperating with a competent authority or relevant reporting body where legally required.
10. User Content and Intellectual Property
The user retains rights in original content they create and upload. By uploading content to the Service, the user grants the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, transferable to service providers required to operate the Service, to use, store, copy, display, process and adapt the content for operating the Service, securing it, matching, support, enforcement and improving the Service.
All rights in the MITHAQ name, logo, design, interface, code, algorithm, texts, databases, screens, Company-created content and any other Service component belong to the Company or its licensors. No copying, duplication, distribution, publication, sale, reverse engineering or derivative works are allowed without written approval.
Feedback, ideas or suggestions submitted to the Company may be used by the Company without compensation and without limitation, provided that the Company does not use identifiable personal data contrary to the Privacy Policy.
11. Account Closure, Suspension and Deletion
You may request account and data deletion at any time by contacting support@mithaq-connect.com, or by deleting the account in the app (on the Profile tab, tap “Delete account” and confirm by typing DELETE). Provide the account details needed to identify the request, without a password or login code. Uninstalling the application does not itself delete the account or cancel a purchase. A deletion request is not conditional on making another purchase.
After receiving and verifying a deletion request, we will act to remove the profile from active display and complete processing without unreasonable delay and according to law. After deletion is completed, the profile will not appear as active. Deletion does not require immediate removal from every backup or deletion of data needed for a legal obligation, a purchase or dispute, security or a defined safety risk. Retained data will be limited to the necessary purpose, scope and period as described in section 8 of the Privacy Policy; this does not authorize indefinite retention of the entire account.
The Company may suspend, restrict or delete an account, with or without prior notice, in the event of a breach of the Terms, suspected fraud, impersonation, a safety risk, credible complaints, a lawful demand from a competent authority, verification failure or misuse of the Service. In addition, when an account is reported, it will be temporarily suspended pending review of the report, as stated in section 9. Such a temporary suspension is not a finding of a breach. The report will be reviewed within a reasonable time, and if no breach of the Terms is found, the account will be reinstated and unused credits will remain in it. You may contact support@mithaq-connect.com to ask for a suspension or block to be reconsidered. Where an account is blocked due to a material breach, the Company may decline to refund used credits or benefits, subject to law.
12. No Guarantee of Results and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". The Company does not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, accuracy of information, perfect compatibility, any number of active users or matches, responses from users or a successful relationship.
The Company is not responsible for user content, representations, intentions, conduct, meetings, relationships outside the application, or emotional, financial, social or other damage arising from a relationship between users, except to the extent liability cannot be limited by law.
The Company’s liability for its own acts or omissions will be determined under applicable law and the circumstances. These Terms do not exempt the Company from liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or reduce the user’s rights and remedies under the Consumer Protection Law, Privacy Protection Law or other applicable law. Use without payment does not itself exclude a right to compensation where one exists under law.
13. Marketing, Messages and Advertisements
The Company may send service messages required to operate the application, such as OTP codes, security notices, account updates, matches, purchase confirmations and support. Marketing messages, promotions or advertisements will be sent only subject to the consent required by law, including the Israeli Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 5742-1982, and an unsubscribe option will be provided.
The Service may include links to third parties. The Company is not responsible for content, privacy policies, products or services of third parties not under its control.
14. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute relating to the Service will be governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel, without conflict-of-law rules. Local jurisdiction will be with the competent courts in Israel, in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa District, unless mandatory law grants a consumer another right that cannot be waived.
Users outside Israel: The Service is operated by an Israeli company and is intended primarily for users in Israel. These Terms are governed by Israeli law and by the jurisdiction provisions set out in these Terms. If a user uses the Service while located outside Israel, the user may have mandatory rights that cannot be waived under applicable local law, only to the extent such law applies to the Company or to the use of the Service under its own provisions. Nothing in these Terms constitutes the Company's voluntary submission to any foreign law, or grants jurisdiction outside Israel, except to the extent required by mandatory law. The Company does not represent that the Service is available or lawful for use in every country, and the user is responsible for ensuring that use of the Service is lawful in the user's location.
You are encouraged to first contact support@mithaq-connect.com to attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith. Prior contact or waiting for a response is not a condition for filing a claim, contacting a competent authority, exercising cancellation rights or seeking urgent relief, and does not extend legal deadlines.
15. Accessibility
The Company will work to make the Service accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and applicable accessibility regulations, to the extent they apply to the Service. Accessibility inquiries may be sent to support@mithaq-connect.com.
16. Miscellaneous and Contact
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver. Events beyond the Company’s control, such as force majeure, war or external failure, will be assessed under applicable law and the circumstances. Mentioning a cyberattack, provider failure or malfunction does not automatically exempt the Company from applicable security, care or liability obligations. These Terms do not create a partnership, agency, employment or fiduciary relationship between the user and the Company.
Legal, cancellation, complaint or report inquiries: support@mithaq-connect.com. Privacy inquiries: support@mithaq-connect.com.

Cancellations, unused credits, incorrect charges and faults are handled under section 5, applicable law and the relevant store rules. Credits purchased in the app or on the website do not expire merely because time has passed. Cancellation or refund requests: support@mithaq-connect.com.
