Delete from within the app
The fastest path. Takes about one minute.
Open the Mithaq app
Launch Mithaq and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
Go to your Profile
Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar (rightmost tab).
Open Settings
On the Profile screen, tap the Settings icon (⚙) in the top corner.
Select “Delete Account”
Scroll down to the Danger Zone section and tap Delete Account. The option is highlighted in red.
Review the summary and confirm
The app will show a summary of everything that will be removed. After reading, tap Final Confirm. This action cannot be undone.
Important: After confirming deletion, your account, profile photos, chat history, and any unused credits cannot be recovered.
What gets deleted and when
When you confirm deletion, Mithaq issues deletion commands to every third-party provider associated with your account. All data is permanently removed within 24 hours.

| Profile & photos | Your name, description, and profile photos are deleted from our servers and photo storage (signed URLs are revoked). |
| Chat history (Stream) | All messages and conversation history are deleted from Stream Chat. Data is inaccessible to any party after deletion. |
| Encryption keys (Virgil E3Kit) | Your private E2EE keys are revoked in Virgil Security. Encrypted messages become permanently undecipherable. |
| Identity verification (Sumsub) | Your liveness verification data (document scan, selfie) is deleted from Sumsub upon receiving the deletion request. |
| Analytics profile (Mixpanel) | Your analytics profile in Mixpanel is removed (opt-out and profile deletion). |
| Phone number | The phone number used for verification is released after a 24-hour cooldown period — so it can be registered again in the future if desired. |
| Unused credits | Unused credits are non-refundable when you initiate voluntary account deletion. Contact support before deleting if you have questions about your balance. |
All data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Deletion complies with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure).
Can't access the app?
If you cannot sign in — due to a lost device, account lock, or any other reason — you can request deletion by email. We process all requests within 3 business days.

- The phone number you registered with
- The email address associated with the account
- An explicit request: "Please delete my account and all associated data"
